My Resignation

Resigning from a job is one of the boldest decisions a person can make—a defining moment of realization that the familiar space no longer aligns with who they are or where they are meant to be. It is a step toward something greater. As an anonymous quote wisely states, "Sometimes we’re forced to let go—not because we’re weak, but because we’re strong enough to know we deserve more." And so, I embraced that truth.

After 15+ years of dedication, I finally made the decision to resign from my last job. I walked out of that office—not with hesitation, but with quiet certainty. For the first time in a long while, I wasn’t leaving something behind—I was stepping into something greater.

The world outside felt different—not because it had changed, but because I had. The air was lighter, carrying possibilities instead of obligations. The sun, warmer, casting a glow on roads I had yet to travel.

That doesn’t mean I haven’t missed the memorable times shared with great colleagues or the invaluable experiences that shaped my career. Those moments remain special, and I will always cherish them.

Of course, there was fear—fear of the unknown, fear of proving to myself that I was right to walk away. But alongside it was excitement, a quiet thrill at the thought of rediscovering what truly set my soul on fire. Especially when I reflect on the moments when professionalism began to erode within the workplace—it became clear that action was necessary. These experiences, whether frustrating or eye-opening, shaped my growth and refined my standards. This transition has been just as much about appreciating what was meaningful as it was about letting go of what no longer served me.

With no desk waiting for me, no emails demanding attention, I felt untethered—free. I took a deep breath and whispered to myself, "This is mine now—my path, my choices, my story."

And with that, I took my first step—into a world that had always been there, waiting for me to finally say ‘yes’  to something more.

This new chapter is unfolding with wisdom, confidence, and a deep sense of purpose. There’s something powerful about embarking on a journey—not just as before with youthful energy, but now with the richness of experience, stable income, and the clarity that comes with maturity.

It is rare and beautiful to embrace change without struggle—to step into it with ease and joy, knowing it is meant for you. That certainty, that faith in my path, makes all the difference.

The most rewarding part of it all is the freedom to use my time. Nothing compares to the ability to shape my days around my priorities and passions.

Reading, writing, staying informed, and connecting with others have always been my greatest passions. Yet, these pursuits require time—something a 9-to-5 job seldom allows without sacrificing well-being. To me, reading and writing are more than mere activities; they are gateways to deeper understanding, creativity, and self-expression.

Now, I have fully embraced them—and for that, I am truly grateful.
